Have a system and abide by it!
Sort out weekdays, weekends or nights – instead of making the laundry seem like a never-ending chore, that is mighty easy to do make an effort to get into a regular. Working from home being a rapidly growing number of people are it’s not hard to let home life merge together with your work life. For this reason we often do the most our washing on the weekend with a couple of loads throughout the week. This way the rest of the folks are there to help as they should that i’m not tied to it all while home along during school/my hubby’s work hours. Smart thinking hey!!
Only wash it if it’s dirty having a capital D
Don’t just wash clothes simply because they have been worn once. It is not only wasteful of our most precious resource – Water – however it is a waste of your previous time. Unless it’s dirty restore it where it belongs and wait until it is dirty. It’s really a no brainer isn’t it!? So unless you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) then you have no excuse.
-Start Young
If you have kids then get them into the practice of putting their dirty clothes to the washing basket as needed and equally cause them to put their own clothes away when they are dry. If you’ve got the space, use several Baskets -(preferably inside the laundry) One for lights, another darks, towels, sheets clearly marked for kiddies to learn which is which.
-If Building or Renovating
It is a great idea to add a
horizontal rolling discharge chute outlet door into your design, if the house is two story which is. I know it’s enough to look green with jealousy if you don’t fit this category but try to be happy for his or her good fortune!-Shop Wisely
Laundry Detergents etc are high price times so keep an eye out for good specials and get up big. This only pertains to those with enough room to adequately store it. Otherwise it might save you some money but not your sanity whenever your house is full of stuff you just were required to get that was on special however that you simply have no room for. Remember Balance with everything – even a great bargain!
-Use your Grocery list –
like to have two packets of washing detergent inside the cupboard constantly. So when you are down to one packet then buy one or two way more you are never caught out having to pay more -especially at our local supermarket that is one of THE most expensive supermarkets around australia – not a place you want to unnecessarily pay fill price at under any circumstance!
-Be Tuned in to the Environment
Buy eco-friendly washing detergents and pre-stain removers. It truly does produce a big difference for the environment as well as the cost is much like the nasties available now so there isn’t any excuse!
-Mending
Have a designated spot for clothes need fixing and get out the needle and thread through the ads of the favourite Tv show.
Miscellaneous Odd and Ends
Have a small container within the laundry items you find such as money and buttons.
-Think Smart
Using the clothes/fibre technology used these days you should not need to buy ‘Dry-Clean Only’ clothes. May well avoid, the environment along with your hip pocket a stack of money and steer clear of these altogether. Same pertains to clothes that require ironing every time you wear them let along wash then. Think what y could do with all that saved time!
