    Real Teeth Dolls

The Internet has a new obsession: real teeth dolls. They’re supposed to look like they’re made from your kid’s teeth, but actually, they’re fake and creepy AF.

They’re made by an Etsy seller named Mrs McGettrick and are sold through her Fuggler Emporium. They’re the perfect gift for kids who love a bit of the macabre.
    They’re not toys

The internet has been abuzz about a stuffed animal doll that’s dubbed the “tooth monster” or the “fuggler.” While it is true that these plush toys feature glass eyes and human-looking teeth, they aren’t made with real baby teeth. The infamous dolls have been around for a while, but they’ve only recently gone viral.

They were first created in 2010 by a British woman who stumbled across a http://www.cherrysweetheart.com bag of individual fake teeth on eBay. Initially, she thought they would make cute additions to second-hand teddy bears she had purchased at charity shops. However, the idea quickly grew into a full-time business.

According to their maker, who goes by Mrs. McGettrick on Etsy, these dolls aren’t actually meant to be played with by kids. Instead, they’re meant to be collectibles for adults.

The crooked teeth on these dolls aren’t really fake, though; they are made from cast-off denture teeth that are intended for use in dentures. They are a bit on the plastic side, but they still look quite realistic.

Despite their creepy aesthetic, these fugglers aren’t necessarily the worst toys on the market. They can be quite charming, and Hamleys, the world’s oldest toy shop, predicts they’ll be a big seller this Christmas.

While it is true that the teeth on these dolls aren’t real, they’re still pretty creepy — and they’ve been a hit among parents who think they’re a cool craft project to do with their kids. They’re also a big hit with adults who have a thing for toys with human teeth.

This photo of two stuffed dolls with teeth in their mouths has been shared thousands of times on Facebook, with many people going crazy over the idea that these toys are actually made from children’s baby teeth. The rumor that these spooky toys are made from real teeth went viral when it was originally shared on a popular parenting Facebook page called Perfection Pending.
    They’re not real

Stuffed animals are typically cute and cuddly, but they can become downright terrifying when they have human teeth. Known as Fugglers, these dolls are one of the most twisted and creepy toys you’ll ever see. They have glass eyes and pearly white chompers that look like they’re made out of a baby’s teeth.

They’re also known as “tooth monster dolls” and have been around since 2010. The maker of these stuffed toys, a British woman who goes by Mrs. McGettrick online, got the idea to make them after she found a sack of individual denture teeth on eBay. She figured she could use them to sew into teddy bears.

The idea grew into a full-time business, and today she makes her own dolls in her studio in London. These toys were originally meant as a joke, but word of mouth spread quickly and people started asking her to make them for themselves.

But why are they so popular?
Many parents enjoy celebrating their kids’ development, and it’s a common practice for them to show off their new smiles. But that doesn’t mean that everyone on the Internet wants to see your child’s gnarly molars.

This is why a viral meme went viral years ago that warned parents not to sew their children’s teeth into their stuffed toys. The image, shared by parenting Facebook page Perfection Pending, showed two stuffed Gumby-like dolls with what looked like a full set of baby teeth.

As you can imagine, this made quite a few people nervous. They feared that these dolls were made from real human teeth, which would be gross and unsanitary. But a little research revealed that these dolls are actually just a cheap imitation of human teeth, intended for use in dentures.

Despite this, they’re still a craze and the creator of them has been receiving tons of inquiries from people who want their own Fugglers made with their own teeth. She tells Tech Insider that her dolls are not made with real human teeth, but she receives a lot of requests to make a custom one for someone else.
    They’re creepy

Whether it’s the evil clown doll in Poltergeist or Chucky in Child’s Play, dolls have been used to great effect for countless horror movies. They’re a classic ghoulishly creepy prop, and they often evoke the uncanny valley, the point at which humans begin to see something that looks human as too human.

Psychologists have been studying the uncanny valley since the 18th century, when automatons and dolls began to look more real than human. This spooky place was first noted by German writer E.T.A Hoffman in his book “The Sandman,” and has been cited by psychologists since then.

The uncanny valley is where the human mind begins to equate small details about the object with the inhuman, and it’s at this point that humans start to become afraid of the item. In the case of a doll, that could mean an awkward gait, a disembodied voice, or an inhuman body structure.

Even though we all know dolls aren’t real, it’s possible that children still feel uncomfortable about them because of the way they’re portrayed in media. It’s a phenomenon known as pediophobia. It’s an emotion rooted in parental messages and the perception that an inanimate object is dangerous.

But don’t let your child avoid dolls just because they’re considered scary! Some of the best toys to give a child are ones that will help them develop their imaginations and explore the world in a safe, non-threatening environment.

Some of the most popular dolls on the market are creepy, but there are plenty of alternatives that aren’t. For example, there’s a West Seattle artist named Brenda who transforms old dolls into chilling works of art that she sells on her Instagram page Adopt A Creepy Doll.

Another option is the diabolic stuffed dolls made by UK-based artist Mrs. McGettrick. They’re called Fugglers, and while they don’t actually contain actual human teeth, they are a lot more realistic than the fake teeth on these so-ugly-they-are-cute Ugly Dolls at FAO Schwartz.

Despite the fact that these real teeth dolls are a little bit creepy, they’re also incredibly funny. They come from Etsy, and are sold through Mrs. McGettrick’s Fuggler Emporium, which sounds like a lot of fun and probably a great business opportunity for the creative entrepreneur behind them.
    They’re a business

A West Seattleite has a knack for reimagining old dolls to create chilling works of art that are worthy of a gallery or two. Not only is this a cool thing to do, but it also helps a charitable cause by the bucket load. For example, proceeds from her Fuggler gizmo go to the Red Barn Equine Rescue in Renton, Washington, which saves horses one barn at a time.

She started making the aforementioned gizmo in 2010 and has since turned it into a full-time gig with an Etsy shop that’s been spotted by the likes of millennials across the country. She even has a Facebook page dedicated to her biz. Her wacky creations are the stuff of dreams for her fans. It’s safe to say that she deserves a gold medal for creativity. The real question is how she got there and why. The answer is simple: a little imagination, a lot of hard work and a pinch of luck.
